Homework Help ($800)

Most primary-aged children get some kind of homework to complete each night. It depends on the school, the teacher and the homework policy but it isn't unusual for children as young as 7 to get homework. This may be phonics or word inquiry, it could be number bonds and multiplication practice and mostly likely incorporates some timed expectation of reading each day; independently or out loud to an adult to target fluency, pace, expression and comprehension.

Your child may get their homework each day from their teacher. You might receive it from the school via email or it might be added through a digital platform. Some schools like to give students in the Upper Primary a homework grid to complete over the course of a week. Whatever homework your child receives, it can be daunting and overwhelming and it can cause some anxiety and sleepless nights.

The Homework Help service provides an opportunity for your child to sit down and work their way through each assigned task under supervision and with expert guidance. Not sure what the task is asking? It's ok, we'll figure it out. Your child's unsure how to find the Lowest Common Denominator? We'll practise and progress. Working on your child's reading fluency and pace? No problem - with Homework Help, we've got it covered.

Each hour long session will ensure that your child tackles their homework with greater confidence, less anxiety and with more organisational skills to stay on-track and enjoy the rest of the evening or weekend, hassle free.

Private Tutoring ($1,000)

Private Tutoring is a different kettle of fish to the Homework Help. Have you noticed that your child is struggling with academic goals or has your child's teacher reached out to you recently and encouraged additional support in a specific area of the curriculum? With Private Tutoring, you and your child can rest at ease, knowing that we'll plan and facilitate meaningful and engaging support and help your child reflect on their progress and goals moving forward.

Each hour long session will ensure that your child tackles their goals with greater confidence and independence, feels less anxiety about 'falling behind' their peers and can work through challenging areas of the curriculum with a supporting, caring and experienced teacher in a fun and engaging way.

Private Tutoring also offers exam and school application assessment preparation in all areas of reading, writing, maths, science, humanities and inquiry.

After School Fitness ($400)

A lot of students join After School Activity programs and many of these programs offer a wide range of sports and team games for your child to develop specific skills, collaboration and improve their fitness. With After School Fitness, the real focus is on fitness and health, raising self-esteem and setting achievable goals that can be accomplished through perseverance and determination. The teacher will guide and participate in the session but it is down to the student to be accountable in what they do and how they perform. Ultimately, we want the children to learn about their fitness levels, understand the importance of nutrition for a growing body and improve their cardiovascular and functional fitness with running and circuit training activities.

A growing body does not need to be lifting heavy weights so all activities will focus on running, bodyweight exercises and High Intensity Interval Training that raises the heart rate, gets a good sweat on and is an amazing workout for primary students and teenagers.

Each session is inclusive to all learners. It is not a case of 'I have to beat that person' or 'I'm not as fit as so-and-so'. It's all about recognising your strengths, understanding and accepting your areas of development and improving fitness and strength in a supportive and safe environment. Students will work independently, as well as in teams, and track their progress throughout the course. They will learn to motivate and inspire others and they'll develop an amazing sense of self-worth.

This is not a weight-loss camp. This is not about getting 'shredded' or 'jacked'. This is a program that can work in parallel with your child's ongoing sports interests, as well as teach them about the importance of stretching, working to capacity, staying injury-free and giving your absolute best in all that they do.

Your child will develop confidence, social skills, improved self-esteem and a greater understanding of what it truly means to be fit and have fun!
